The other day, I picked Piglet up from a playdate at his friend who happens to be a girl (not to be confused with his girlfriend, because she would be very angry to know that things changed while she was gone for 3 months).
I asked him how everything was and he said, "Fine. They only have girl stuff."
I said, "Well, that's because they only have girls."
He said, "I wish I was a girl."
I asked him why.
He said, "Because girls always get to go first."

They do, and it is simply not fair. I wish I was a girl too.
ReplyDeleteLOL...and everything is as it should be..good thing he's already got that covered!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he got that sorted. Better now than later on in life.
ReplyDeleteHeehee! Unassailable logic.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the way their mind works sometimes?
ReplyDeleteWhen my son was three he was mad because girls had more clothing choices. He said it wasn't fair he didn't get to wear dresses.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I also had that conversation with my son once. He was much younger and he wanted to color with my lipstick. He said he wanted to be a girl so he could color with lipstick. On the flipside, I have a very hard time getting my daughter to wear dresses because her brother doesn't wear them and she emulates him.
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm not sure that makes up for things like wage-inequities!
ReplyDeleteHas he applied for a job lately? I'm sorry but there is still, sadly, a man first attitude there.
ReplyDeletehe he he.
ReplyDeleteWait till he gets married.
